Dr. Brittany Schaezler is originally from New Orleans, LA. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. She returned to Louisiana for vet school, graduating from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She then moved to Houston, and has been practicing at Silverlake Animal Hospital ever since. She currently shares her home with her husband, Ryan, and their 4 Shetland Sheepdogs, Shiner, Mardi, Trip, and Ticket.

Dr. Schaezler's special interests include canine reproduction, behavior, dermatology, and pain management. She also has a strong interest in dog training and sports medicine stemming from her primary hobby, dog agility. She is currently competing with her Shelties in several venues, and has competed at several agility National Championships, as well as having attended tryouts for the AKC US World Team.
