Melissa graduated from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Melissa has worked in the Veterinary field for over 15 years. She started working in a boarding facility in high school and in college made her way into 2 animal clinics working as a veterinary assistant/technician. After college, she was given the opportunity to work as a paralegal in her mom's law firm. After 2 years of dressing up and working in front of a computer all day, she realized that she missed dressing in scrubs and working with animals. She eased back into the field that she's loved all her life and never looked back. She has been a technician for 7 years and became a new addition to our practice in November 2010. She recently got married to her best friend Derrick and they have 2 "kids" as of late--Roxy (small mixed breed "distemper survivor") and Sterling (Persian mix). Hi, I'm Jaci. I was raised in Alvin, Tx and have always had a love for animals. Growing up we always had a dog and now I have my two little fur babies; a 2 year old terrier mix named Owl and a 1 year old chihuahua named Little man. So when I had the chance to go to school to become a Veterinary Assistant there was no question that's what I wanted to do. I have loved every minute of working here and wouldn't want to be at any other clinic.
